I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
